The thread is M10X1.0 but at least around here pipe fittings with metric threads are kinda uncommon. 1/8" NPT is a very close substitute and since the case is already damaged it's likely your best option (the sender will screw into 1/8" NPT). I used a close nipple and a Tee on the one I did and used a plug in the unused hole in the Tee, it's a handy thing to have if you ever want to install an oil pressure gauge later.
Brass 1/8" NPT fittings are available at auto parts stores and some plumbing supply stores. |

| Thay have that tap in the Enco catalog cheep. I order alot of my machining tools from them. I had to get a realy odd tap from them about 6 years ago. It was for a air pipe that hooked into a ex manifold on a Jag the size is 15/1.0 mm thay couldn't beleave that thay had it but thay did. |
