I have a 66 hardtop bug with window regulators that need replacement.
Does anybody have any recommendations? Are the Wolfsburg West / modern repro units ok? Do decent OEM come up often?

Often regulators appear in the Samba classifieds.
Do a search and you're likely to find them. |

Actually I did before I posted. The problem is I don't want to replace one worn-out 50 year old part with another worn-out 50 year old part. That's why I asked if decent OEM regulators showed up often. To try to assess if I should hold out for good OEM or buy the WW units (and if they were any good). |

| I went through that experience last summer. The only thing I will say is that I tried two aftermarket regs. and they never fit. Eventually I found an original and it worked like a charm. Those doors set me back a long time fighting with poor fit. Just my .02 |
