Free Sketchup files lots of fun and best of all it’s “FREE”
I’m drawing up my house plans to arrange vehicles on my property using Sketchup and didn’t want to draw a Bus myself unless I had a lot more time. I asked my CAD students if Sketchup had a free library like we have in our professional CAD packages. My students showed me “warehouse” where pros and amateurs upload their drawings for all to have most free some for purchase.
This helps if your thinking of moving your bus around but not sure how it will look or if there will be enough room to work on it there. Sketching orthographic on paper with accurate measurements has always been the plan. Although to see it properly sketching isometric or perspective on all angles is best but extremely time consuming. Not only is this helpful but a ton of fun. Enjoy.

| You come up with the craziest cool-daddy stuff. Fwiw, you can't stop on that bridge and the bus doesn't have enough overspray on it. |

Bull-onie... I've done it.
Not to high-jack, but why not... Over 9 years ago, two friends of mine and a dog caravaned three buses to the City from the Central Valley. Well, after the toll gates, and just past Treasure Island, (where traffic gets faster and more consolidated), I dropped a shift coupler square-head set-screw.... we had walkie-talkies thank God. We pulled to the left side of the bridge with the two other buses at the rear and mine at the front, just in case of an impact.
Long story short- It is VERY scary to be under your bus in traffic after dark on the Bay Bridge. The horns, the lights as you look to the rear of your bus from underneath it, the fear of accident can be a strong motivator!
By the time I was done, it took the longest time to find a replacement screw-(I think that I used a sheet-metal screw)-for the coupler, there were two Highway Patrol officers that ended up escorting us off of the bridge... and without a ticket for obstructing traffic. It was just after 9-11 and there was a lot of attention on that bridge.
Hi Linda! ;) |

Hi Busryder, please high-jack all you want it's here for all. I am surprised I haven't seen other images of Sketchup buses elsewhere via the free images I posted. I'm hoping some are being made as we speak 8)
Understood about the bridge thing you can't even take a photo of a bridge without trouble. Too bad they make great subjects. Glad you are OK

I saw someone stop on that bridge a few years ago.
They were being chased by police, stopped, jumped out, and tried to escape by jumping into the water. They failed.

I used the sketchup files of the bus to lay out the lift in my at the time unbuilt shop.
It was very useful, here is the end result, exactly where it was positioned in Sketchup:
