Yeah, it is a great color. I'm a Honda Nut myself, and whenever I see that stock 2000 Honda Civic Si Coupe w/ the electron blue paint job, I just think, "wow, that is gorgeous!!!!" I posted another thread on here looking to see if another Samba member had that electron blue paint job, but came up empty. I would like to see it on a bug. Anybody w/ photoshop??? lol

Go with the greenish gray color. That blue color just doesn't feel 1963 to me. It'd be like some old fellow wearing those skin tight jeans the kids love these days. It just isn't right :P

What's your build: stock or really modified? Stock stance or rake? Smoothies or customs? Makes a difference for the color choice. I like the blue, but not metallic. Sea Blue is a VW color:

Stick with VW colors, just keep in the '60s color charts.

Modern colors like what's on the Chevy will give your car a custom look, which is cool if that's what you're after

i agree with everyone else. not the blue one, reminds me of boyz in the hood cuba's convertible.

You and I have the same problem. My 63, see my avatar was originally anthracite gray. the previous owner painted it Yellow. My wife wants a fun color, like red. Says the gray is too Nazi looking. I like the gray.
Still a long ways off from painting.

I'm gonna put my vote in for the Gray, I think it looks more appropriate than the blue color. Don't get me wrong, the blue color is sweet, but I think it's better suited for other vehicles, IMO.

Another vote for grey- it's much rarer than any '63 VW blue.
