Can anyone enlighten me as to why I have two wheel cylinders and only one lower bleeder on both sides of my front brakes? Are the cylinders switched top to bottom? Or is the top just neatly broken off on both sides?

Perfectly normal, the hose goes into the hole on the top cylinder, the metal line between the brake shoes and backing plate connects the cylinders together and the bleeder goes into the lower cylinder.
Good pictures of this in the Bentley manual IIRC. |

| Well don't I feel like a genius. Didn't think I would need to consult Mr. Bentley today. First early bay for me, don't really understand how I am supposed to get the air out of the lines from a low bleeder. |

| If the shoes are adjusted properly so the pistons are fully compressed theres little room for bubbles in the system and they get flushed out quickly, may not look like it'll work, but you'll have to believe me it does. |
