I checked the front suspension after hearing some new clunking, and found the rubber upper shock bushings had disintegrated.
After a quick search for urethane bushings, I didn't find a VW specific product. I assume any 'ol aftermarket bushing will work, but I thought I'd double check here first. Something like this is what I found:

Those are pretty much standard off the shelf bushing, that you can buy stock ones at any parts store.
If you want Urethane, there may be the rub.
It does not hurt to ask them. |

| It may just be the picture, but it looks like the hole at the top is bigger then the bushing. Optical illusion or possible rusted out? |
