| Will a 1959 rag body fit on a 1968-70 pan? :? |

It should with minor modification to the rear body mounts near the shock towers.
A bit of warning though, people on here will flip you a bunch of crap for swapping body and pans. I'm doing a '65 body on a '73 pan and it's all good. |

Make sure you dont have smog laws and bs to deal with if you swap up in years.
I know here in Vegas- its 68 and newer- check with your local area- Unless you dont care about having to register it as a 68-70. |

Just do new pan halves they are not that hard to do. |

| To do the pan halves you still need body off right? |

No, not at all. You can keep the body on and do it just fine.
However, planning to swap VIN's on the pans would be a crazy thing to do. It's all good doing a body swap, but the VIN always should stay and be licensed with the pan. I'm thinking the DMV would frown on cutting out a VIN and welding a new one in. |

| Do the swap then convert the 4 lug wheels to the 5 and at a glance many people would not know. |

| Don't do the above! Spend your money on fixing the right pan- not making the wrong pan work. |

My 59 has flintstone floors too, i was quoted 500 bucks to do full pans. Thats probably cheaper than the hassle of changing to a 4 lug pan then trying to fix the problems it brings. |

| I'm going to have to agree with the consensus. It would be much wiser to just fix the 59 pan. Not only would it be easier to do but you will have something that is worth more in the end. |

| if it were MY bug I would fix the pans but if you do swap pans then consider the 4 to 5 lug conversion. |

| Fix, don't swap. Much better and worth much more. |

| Ok! Looks like pan repair wins over swap. Just worried about the appearance of the overlap pans after repair.(from underside) |
