I'm in the process of rebuilding my king&link pins......can anyone help regarding the shimming please???My '52-'57 Manual states there should be 10 shims per pin!.....my pins have odd numbers of shims which i believe to be set up as original.I understand shims are there to adjust camber angle, but do i rebuild them with the correct shimming or as they are now????

I'd follow the manual and use the 10. How many do you have in there now?

Ifyou have a 58 bug use just the 10 shimms, not the rubber ring or the shimm with a notch in it.

Don't go by what shims are on there now, I would measure the offset first. If you are missing one or two shims, just make sure you have the correct number of shims between the torsion arms and steering knuckles. You can get away with missing shims between the link pin head and the steering knuckle until you find more shims.

Yep, follow the manual. Good luck.

Thanks for all your help!! It all made sense after measuring the 'offset'...
