Hi everyone
so tried to start my 72 1300a this morning and it didnt want to idle. had a look round the back and realised my fast idle screw was missing? it was definitely there yesterday, no problems driving home from work.
my question is does anyone know what size replacement i need? its a solex 31 pict 3 carb. have tried a M4 and M5 bolt but one is too small the other slightly too big, cant find a M4.5 to try
how can such a small thing be so annoying! |

| get one from a junk carb, try this guy, www.howardvw.com he'll mail it fast if he's got one...very responsive and has all kinds of hardware from wrecks you can't buy new... |

| If you have a carb rebuild kit you can use one of the extra mixture screws...just grind off the pointy end. Once it's adjusted use blue threadlocker to hold it tight. |

Thanks for the help, ive managed to find a carb specialist here in England that stocks the part.
now the long wait untill it arrives |
