In my radio stash I came across a unit whose model number translates to a 1971 911T and 914. It's an AM/FM stereo unit and appears identical to the VW Sapphire radio with the Town/Country switch from that year with the exception it has PORSCHE on the slider, the FM dial numbers are in orange, and the model number is IPE2127 rather than VWXXXX.
My question is in regards to what sort of knobs should it have (are they the same ones as the Sapphire) and is the faceplate a flush mount (like a Karmann Ghia of that year) on the dash face? I'm going to be placing it up for sale and want to make it complete as possible before doing so. |
