Sunday August 01, 2010 - Nor Cal Vintage VW & Porsche Treffen
Concord, California

Show starts at 8am and typically finshes around 2-2:30. We usually do an informal cruise around town and then off to a group lunch for anyone that's interested.

Casual event with like minded enthusiasts. All air cooled VW's and Porsche's are welcome. Free coffee and bagels in the morning while supplies last.

This show is very family oriented with a full playground for the kids and nice clean normal bathrooms!!

$15.00 per car this year
$5.00 for second car by same owner
Spectators are free.

Location in Concord:

Dave Brubeck Park - 8 acres on north side of Concord Boulevard between Mendocino Drive and Denkinger Road, next to Concord High School. Gently mounded turf with shade trees surrounds a large open meadow with a raised concrete stage. There are picnic tables and a children's play area. This park is home to community events including the annual Singing Flag and several classic car shows.

looks like i'll finally be able to attend this year. usually its on the same weekend as the reggae rising concert up north where i help my dad cuz hes a vendor. but the concert is the following weekend this year. :D

Thanks for posting a reminder. I have it on my calendar and look forward to this one...always has been a fun one...usually well attended with an interesting array of vehicles (and the 'normal bathrooms' too) <whatever would we do without those?> :? lol
getting closer to bringing my car out but not there just yet, just me + Nikon this year...[perhaps 011] :?: :arrow:

What's a good place to stay if people want to come down Saturday for the BBQ and spend the night?

Hey Greg, I will look into something near Tony's shop in Martinez, less driving after a few beers! I will let you know, I will also look into something close to the park where the show is held for anyone else.
