when was the switch from the taller 5 row tag to the narrower 3 row tag? My friends 53 kombi has 3 rows. If any information from it can help let me know and I can get it!

could you please take a look how much the "leergewicht" is. maybe some one else can take a look on his kombi and write it here. so i can check if there are any differences.

I've got a picture of a 54 barndoor tag, but there is no "leergewicht" line. This is the 3 row tag version, same as my friends 53 tag. I gather that your 52 uses the 5 row tag. What is "leergewicht" translated?

it could be possible, that in a 3 row tag there isnīt a leergewicht. :?

leergewicht should be "unloaded weight".

Dug up an old thread.
I've noticed that the information on old style vin plates are either deeply stamped or shallow stamped/scratched or a combination of the two.
Is there any pattern to these differences or did it just depend which guy/line the bus came off that day?

Post up how yours is stamped and month/year.
