| Cool pics mike. Hope you made it to Ontario without any issues. Did the new owner pic up Chuck? |

Thanks Joey, made it to Ontario no problem, 54 is in storage in North Bay. New owners parents picked up chuck on Tuesday, all gone...;-( gotta get going on the 54, need to sell a house and buy another one.
Cheers,

Hello all, sorry I have been absent so long, hope I haven't lost you all. My work has been very up and down in the last 8 months and had me moving twice, covering the better part of 4000 km's and ending up back in Nova Scotia for the better. My new job will have me in and out of the country but will try to update and keep the build thread going.
So the latest is after 8 months in storage and travelling 4000 km's on a trailer and in a truck. I finally got my 54's pan back together and running again. Had to repair a few minor items and do a bunch of cleaning up, a few paint touch ups, reattach the fuel tank, new fuel, repair the fuel valve crush washer and change the oil. But without so much as priming or charging the battery just a bunch of choke and roll it over for a bit and she started right up. Yaay.
And with a little coaxing and warming up I got it to idle finally, not bad considering.
I was so happy and in the groove that I kept going with progress on the body by starting to strip the rest of the original parts off the body. A pile of original removed parts, eat your hearts out!
Here is the original wiring harness out in half decent shape, not sure if I will use it again, but I did run steel wire through the body to pull whichever ones I use.
And here is the front end looking very stripped. Soon it will be going for sandblasting and priming then repair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sticking with me I will try and keep updating as I go along as best I can.

Mike -
I can't wait to see you dig in on the body! Good move getting it blasted, huge time saver and really does a much nicer job.
I only blasted doors, engine lid, hood, fenders, and wire-wheeled the body (essentially wasting a lot of time).
With your doors, fenders, engine lid, and hood already done, you are gonna cruise!!! |

Back to La Nouvelle Ecosse Mike?
Wow, hopefully fewer disruptions from now on, and more "happy time" ahead. Looking forward to being further embarrassed by your superior rate of progress.

Thanks for the support guys, a lot of upheaval over the last 8 months but will be on and off at it from now on. Will send updates as they happen.
Cheers,
