I just purchased a couple tools from The Latest Rage and they cam with no instructions. I am new to VW so need some guidance on how to use these two tools. I have been trying to call them all week since receiving the parts and continue getting a busy signal. I have since heard they are a small shop and are closed for vacation until months end. Not sure if that is true or not but I only get busy signal everytime I call no matter what time I call so they must have the phone off the hook. So rather wait for them to get back I wonder if anyone can tell me how to use the Torque Dude to remove my gland nut and also the Case Splitter to open my engine case. The Torque Dude comes with a big gear that looks to somehow connect to the Flywheel? and some gears (probably one for 12V and one for 6V Flywheels??) and some other piece which looks to connect to the gland nut. Not really sure. So if you know how to use this device, probably the same as the Torque Meister brand, please offer help. Also, the Case Splitter, where does this go and how do I use it. Looks like I put these two half moons together with the but and spacer in the middle and somehow turn the but until the case pops open?
Thanks

I'm not famililar with the Torque Dude, but the Torque Meister can only be used one way. Meaning that the large socket end goes on your glandnut, and the little gear into the flywheel teeth. On the opposite end of the little flywheel gear, there should be a place to fit a wrench or socket. This is to turn the little gear, it climbs along the flywheel, and torques the glandnut as it goes. There is an adapter to be used with axel nuts also, using the same premise.

The case opener fits in the oil pump hole, once the pump has been removed. As you may have guess, one half moon goes on one side, the other half moon goes on the other side, and the nut adjuster in the middle. Adjust the nut so the half moons go in opposite direction and thats it. Check this link for oil pump pullers and case splitters.
