Have been driving diesel rabbits for last 30 or so years. Just in last few years, needed to replace the rubber diaphragm....often... current [ brazilian? ] repair stuff not worth beans?
anyone else with this problem...or need to find better source?
Parts place advertise an expensive new / different style pump and agree current repair kits not good or long lasting.
have made a repair with a bit of neoprene..but not sure what type material to use..and its not in car to test....[ I have spares ] |

You need to be sure to preload the diaphram so it has room to move. You don't want it tight like a drum. This is why they rip or wear out prematurely
The rotary pump that you are talking about is the REAL fix. |
