Where do these rubbers go?
I've got several factoty holes in the bulkhead but don't know
where the rubbers should go.
If I mount it behind the 2/3 seat one of them will sit a bit over the M-code plate..
that would be wrong right?

Also: there is what apears to be a factory hole in the seatpedestal
under the drivers seat.
I know what rubber goes on the passengers side but what about the drivers side?

Thanks!

the hole outwards of 1/3/walk through also drivers seat gets plugged with a small rubber plug or water and mud will splash up into cab area. plug is used in a panel bus, about 10 of them, in a line from side to side about 1/2" from bulk head for seats in large cargo area.

Just stick the seats in and you'll quickly realize where they go.

The far right seat bumper does cover part of the M-code plate.

There are a couple of extra holes because the bulkheads were pre-drilled for RHD models as well.

Here's one photo of the passenger side:

The driver's side is the same - one rubber piece at each end of the seat.

The same little rubber piece used on the cargo floor for the little holes by the cargo doors.

yes pointy side down instead of upwards. keeps water and mud out.

Everett do these also go on walk through buses?

No.

On my '63 walk-through:
The driver's side has no stops.
The passenger side backrest hooks into the metal so no stops needed.

On a related topic here is a pic of the underside of the front seat in my 1957 Komib. I have been trying to figure out what goes in the six holes positioned around the storage box. They appear factory and are not threaded. You can see one of the button buffers in the top left hand corner. There isn't enough room for them in the location I'm wondering about as the metal contours will not allow for the buttons.

EverettB Mon Aug 02, 2010 3:59 pm

Nothing, I have never seen anything there.

tasb Mon Aug 02, 2010 8:29 pm

Are the holes stock or am I the only one who has them?

EverettB Mon Aug 02, 2010 10:31 pm

Sorry, I meant the holes are always there but empty.

Pulling this one out of the archives.

After restoring the broken and bent drivers seat frame and back, I realized that I have no stops, rubbers, buffers, etc. for either of my front seats (bench). I've searched TS but this is the closest thread I've come to in determining what I need to have. The Bentley simply states "replace buffers as needed".

So I understand I need 4 of these stops for the 2 backrests http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=211881865A

And I'll need 2 more (?) for the pass. bench seat as well but which is it or is it a combination of these? http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=211881897A

Thank you for any input.

All of the above is correct.

For the rear of the 2/3rd seat - One of each of those.

Another thread with them listed

Thank you Everett. One of each for the bottom rear of the 2/3rd seat. Got it, that makes sense now. I did see the other thread in my search as well but I still wasn't clear about which of those to use.

Of course, I was just going to order 2 of each from WW but I've been ordering so much extra shit to make the orders of stuff I actually need worth shipping that I could almost open a VW parts biz out of my garage.
