| hello everybody. i know i have been asking a lot of questions in the past few months. i have one more. i have been given the go ahead by my wife that it is cool if i wanna spend the money and put 911 style fuchs on my 914. i do not care if they are repops or not. i guess what my question is what is involved with the wheel adaptors. are they easy to install? are they safe? i also have found ones on different websites and very different prices. if it is cheaper does that mean its not safe? the ones i have found are on pelican parts for $109 a wheel and the other ones on the cip 1 website are $68.50 a pair. what is the big difference if any? thanks for answering my questions. |

| not safe as they tend to break, if you want 5 bolt Fuchs buy em and have your hubs and front discs drilled for Porsche studs and pressed in. I won't drive 70mph on adapters... |

| basically the kits comes with everything except rear rotors and bearing all the way around. is it true that i could use 914/6 rear rotors instead of having my old ones machined to fit the 5x130 lugs. |

How many have you seen that broke? Or did you just "hear" about this? |

Two posters on the 914club site over the years....One local to me at a AX event...I would never run them as its so easy to install 5 lug conversion stuff and be safe...
Also the adapters push the rims out so alot of them don't fit the wheel wells anymore so if you are trying to install 16x7's forget it...even some 15x6's are tight. |

| you can use the 914/6 rear rotors but you either have to clearance the 914/4 calipers or have the rotors turned down slightly as they are bigger in diameter by a hair. They can drag on the body of the calipers...or Eric will have the right sized ones for your conversion. |
