200 miles per hour with an aircooled VW engine?
That's very serious supercar territory!!
What kind of engine modification and what body will push up to that speed??

200 mph club?

I thought there was only a 100 mph club.

Ahhhhhhh..... I figured out a way to get into the mile high club AND into the 200 mph club in one single action: you take your car in a transport airplane up to a mile high, do the qualifying round for the mile high club, and then after that you drop the car in mid air. Congratulations, you made the mile high club, and the car made 200 mph in freefall , so slam dunk double whammie!

The only reason why I wouldn't do it, is that you will have to sacrifice a car in the process... Guess life is all about making sacrifices (though getting into the mile high club would not be that much of a sacrifice)

Good luck, really curious to see who's getting up to 200 mph on land with aircooled power and lives to tell!

I'd like to know too.

The fastest land speed in a full bodied bug that I've heard of is 147.886 mph at Bonneville by driven by Geoff Hart.

But that's just the fastest that I've heard, mind you.

My point exactly

It would be considered cheating to use a flat 6 porsche engine (which technically also comes aircooled)

A streamliner is super areodynamic lake dragster. So, 200mph is a realistic goal.
