| Installed Internet Explorer 9 a couple of days ago and now I'm having difficulties with the menus on Samba. Specifically the sub-menus. The only drop down menu that works is the classifieds. Any ideas? |

IE9 is Beta right? Report the issues to them so they can fix their Beta software.
Thanks for testing it for them. :)
You could also see if it gives you some sort of javascript or other error when the site loads, if IE9 has an easy way of seeing that.
I'm not sure why only the Classifieds menu would work since they are all done the same way. Hmmmm. |

Yeh, IE9 is still Beta.
I do have Chrome and everything works as it should. That's why I know it's an IE9 issue. I use IE because it compatible with most of the financial sites I access. Firefox is not. I do a lot more on the internet than just surfing messageboards
I also was thinking a javascript problem as well. |

If it gives you some Javascript error, email it to me and I will see if it I can fix it to work with IE9.
I know what you mean about IE - you are forced to use it for some sites. |

Firefox has more users than IE now. At least specific IE versions. If you go global, firefox has about 47% of the total browser market.

Same issue here with ie9, odd that the classifieds menu works and the rest dont.
ie9 broke several sites i use on a daily basis, including network solutions and google apps. Crapola. |

| In classic fashion; 74% of all PC's use XP, and IE 9 won't function on XP. Looks like it's bugs won't be a concern for me. |

I ended up having to revert back to 8. Which ive never had to do before. My job is supporting windows systems, so i gotta try all the new crap that comes out and if nothing else document why we dont need it!
That was the only problme i had that was samba related. For a home user, IE 9 is probably ok. But for our managed environment at work, and some of the things i do, it just didnt work for me. |
