Hi,
After a lot of digging I finally found a Ghia. Have only had Beetles in the past so this is the first Ghia. I might pop in here once in a while for some questions to you Ghia gurus.
First questions are about the interior. Need to find the cloth tweed to replace at least on the drivers seat and rear seat. Can it be found?
Secondly somebody installed safty belts and drilled some not so nice holes in the rear panels :( Any ideas how to fix that? Think I saw somebody who made new ones.

Thanks for the tips! Looks like Australia to get hold of fabric.
The car needs some refinement. I would like to get the door fitment better. I also got som Beuty rings and new sidemouldings with the car.
Although when I checked the side mouldings they where not so nice. I think they where bought in Germany. Where can I buy a good quality side moulding? |

Here is a good topic about replacement side mouldings: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=210798 |

-20 this morning. More snow..
Not so much work done on the Ghia. Had to do some house restoring but I hope I get get some hours during Christmas holiday. Did manage to trade another used seat that I will try to use the cloth from. Its a bit different sun bleached but I rather have two seats without holes in. Also traded a pair of used rear quarter panels without any holes like my OG ones.

| Looking for another rear hood. Got hold of one, unknown yearmodel, late 60 I assume. It doesn't fit in curvature. Can anyone tell me what yearmodel that would fit? I thought hoods from 50 and 60:ties cars where the same apart from emblem size. |

Working on the rear height. Moved the trailer arm up one notch on the inner spline. Since I have no motor or gearbox in the car to check the final height before assy I thought I'd ask if someone recon this postion and can show me a pick with the car on the ground on wheels?

Been waiting 5 months for the painter to paint my chassi and engine parts. Freaked me out but I finally got them back and installed the Old Speed beam and brake updates this weekend. Had to try a wheel as well 8)
