Hello,
I have a 1641cc dual port engine and for about the past week there has been a huge puddle of oil under the car wherever I park it, It is only on the left half of the case though..
The oil drips down the left side of the case but its coming from above the push rod tubes, I know the oil cooler is the only thing that (should?) be leaking up there, I dont know anywhere else it would be coming from.
Also, the idle speed goes from 800rpm to 1,500 rpm and drops back down again. If I have a loose oil cooler would it make the idle speed flucuate? If anyone can give me an insight, it would be appreciated and hopefully all I need is a new oil cooler gasket and to tighten the oil cooler down.

| sounds like oil cooler seals, make sure you replace them with the right ones. The oil cooler has nothing to do with the idle speed. Sounds like you have an intake leak. Spray some carb cleaner on the areas where an intake leak is possible and see if the idle changes. |
