Ok, strange thing happened the other night. My friend got a 71 autostick, and we were driving it around the neighborhood around 35.... one of the red lights was on in the speedo, i think it was the right one. He hit the brake and stopped the car, when it died. Would not turn over, cant pop the clutch! Pushed it home, now what? ANy ideas?

the red light is your oil warning light, if that goes on or flickers for a second, stop immediatly! But it already sounds too late, the only reason the light would come on is if you don't have enough oil, or it's too hot! And this causes your engine to sieze up. it's the worst thing that can happen to you engine short of catching on fire, either one of your cylinders is fused or the crank shaft has warped from extreme heat. This sounds like a tough luck situation. It happened to me over the summer, lucky for me my friends fiance had a crappy beetle that I took the engine from and was able to resurect my squareback. Sorry about the car Corey!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the engine being siezed up is why your engine won't turn over, It's also likely the starter motor could be burnt out also. Again sorry
