| I don't know if you guys are against that or not, but I do need to ask for parts that don't exist in the Classifieds. |

Create an ad and put a check in the "this is a wanted ad" box. Put WTB: or Wanted: in the title.
IOW, no. |

You can post a wanted ad in the Classifieds.
We do not allow ads in the Forums.
You can add it to your Forums signature too, if you want.
(Or link to the ad you place from there) |

I admit it's not 100% black and white.
If someone is looking for something, most often in a build thread, we allow people to say "I have that," although it's better to contact them privately.
We allow people to post "Where can I find part XYZ?" with the caveat that this usually applies to people who know a company or a particular person sells something but they don't know who sells it.
For example:
Allowed:
"Who sells the reproduction EMPI horn buttons?"
"Where can I find correct seat material for my '60 Westfalia?"
Not allowed:
"Who has a fender for my '66 Bug?"
"I'm selling my '63 Ragtop" |

| When I read your topic, I thought you were inquiring if you could post an ad asking for anyone who has extra ecstasy for sale... In my mind, I was thinking, at least he's asking permission. |
