yep... i love that car... sooo nice and original. one of the coolest things ever, was when we pulled off the bumpers, and found hidden in one of the overriders, a "hide-a-key" box, with a set of original keys, AND the dealer tag to get new ones made.. aint that some shit???
it also turns out that the car HAS been hit before, and at some point, it was given a new left front fender, complete with red paint on the inside. whoever installed the fender managed to pinch the wiring harness, down to bare metal, and it's a wonder that it didnt have a complete meltdown.
aside from that, all looks great. we pulled off the quarters and fenders the other day, and found loads of road dirt inside them, but all seals were intact, and with a quick washing, everything looked like new. we are only replacing the front and rear trunk rubber, and the seals for the tail lights... other than that, the rubber has help up nicely. it'll have a new windshield and short rear axles as well when it leaves the body shop. bumper brackets are getting powder coated, bumpers replated, and all the little dents will be gone!
anyway, i'll have pics of the project very soon.
thanks again everett |
