One major overlooked problem for fires in the engine is old fuel line. Replace all rubber fuel line with the good cloth bond german style, if not use the other rubber lines and use hose clamps. I personally never tried to mount early fenders on late car, but I am sure all that needs to be done is a little tweaking, am I wrong??

You CANNOT put early front fenders on a SUPERBETTLE. You can put them on a late modle sedan. But A SUPERBETTEL has a rounded front apron that will only accept superbettle fenders. There are no acceptions to this Jakub. Superbettle front fenders are a different breed all together.

If it had early fenders on it, it wasnt a SUPERBETTLE. Did you know that in Mexico they never had "SUPERBETTLES" Jakub? Never had IRS, and until a few years ago never had fuel injection. How about a 1974 brazilian bug, ever seen one of those Jakub. It had early tail lights, late bumpers, 1964 and earlier window(thats right) and a single port 1300cc engine. Jakub you really have alot to learn, just like the rest of us. I dont post on threads that I dont know the answer or have anything constructive to say. You should do the same.

Yes you can, I have a standard 73 with 64 fenders all around, you will lose the front bumper holes, so either cut new ones or run naked and hope not to get pulled over. 1971 was the first year super so you should not have any trouble, they bolt right up and look alot better if you lower the car, they also appear quite a bit wider, i didnt measure, but they swallow up my 14 X 6 alloys.
