| I have a 1974 beetle and i thaught i had an EGR pipe ... but i guess i don't? when i baught a new muffler with a provision for the EGR pipe it did not connect to anyhting.... oh well can someone help with this |

If I were you, I would locate the pipe somewhere and connect it. The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is not only environmentally friendly but it recirculates hot gas directly into your carb for better winter running efficiently.
