hey, i have 62-67 tail lights on my 73 (other owner put on early fenders) i just wanted to know what bulbs you use for the red lights (brake, etc.) i have the turn signal bulb but i was told to get 1156 and 1157, 1156 fit perfectly, bt 1157 was too big. someone help i plan on driving this car some day.

also, just out of curiousity, has anyone ever been pulled over for having parking/signal bulbs in the headlight assembly?

The brake/tail lamp takes the 1157 which is the double filiment bulb. I went out and checked mine to be for sure. My bulb was also real snug in the socket but thats better than a lose one. Try the 1157 again. The turn signal in mine isn't marked but I'm 99% sure its a 1156/single filiment. As to your second question I couldn't answer that because I've never had a bug with early style headlight assemblys but I think that modification is cool. I wouldn't see why you would have any trouble doing that as I've seen lots of rides that didnt even have parking lamps or turn signals for that matter. But I live in Florida and in Florida we dont have a state vehicle inspection! So you can get away with just about anything here. Hahahaa

As far as the parking/signal in the headlight, You have to check with your States Dept. of Transportation to see what they allow. More than likely they have a website..
