| I'm replacing the clutch in my 67. I broke the spring that tensions the cable and the release bearing. I had to remove the C clip and the lever to replace the spring. I can't for the life of me get the spring and lever back onto the splined shaft to put the clip back on. Anyone know any tricks? Thanks..... |

| Shape a block of wood to wedge the shaft inside the box from sliding into the case, and use a large jemmy bar, working against the chassis fork, to lever the flat at the base of the lever, which will then hold the lever on enough to fit the C-clip. Best with an extra pair of hands! If it ever happens again, the spring can be fitted without removing the clip/lever, it slides over the top. |

Thanks for the advice. I got the spring in it's place by using a small pair of pliers and really railing it onto it's spot then pushing it all back together with my hands and a screwdriver.
I hope I don't have to do that again for a while! |

i am having the same issue. My cable is a mess with the wing not not wanting to come off. So I got a new spring and put it on. The straight piece is against the tranny backside and not all the way around. What should I do ? If i leave it like that it will slowy work its way up. I was thinking of putting a second samller srping on the arm and putting it behind up to something to keep it tight. My clutch feels weird and can be pressed to the wall. What u think
email me at maj1@aiosolutions.com thanks a mil
