I just got a 63 bug and am confused on the mods and timing of such on the early 60's chassis. This 63 has a roller pedal and no passenger side foot rest. I once bought a beater 62 which had a foot rest and no roller pedal. back then I just assumed that it was an original pan and hadn't looked at the chassis at all. could someone give me a history of the chassis mods over the years and exactly when VW did those mods? all I really know about is the suspension, i.e. king/link conversion and S/A changeover. what else has changed?? Just curious
