I was wondering what the differences if any there are in the body styles? Besides the headlights, tail lights and turn singles. The reason I am asking is I have a really straight front clip off of a 58 and a 62 that needs one.

actually the headlights and turn signles are the same. the front clip however is different because vw redesigned the gas tank to make it flatter so you can have more storage space. so if you install the from clip into your 62 from a 58 then you will need a new tank , and most of those tanks dont have fuel guages either. i believe that front clips for 62's are available after market cheap... or on the samba.

I have a brand new aftermarket front clip i would like to get rid of that I bought for a 63 I have and didn't use, it would fit perfectly for 61-67 You can have it for 75 bucks plus shipping

the 58 wont work on your 62. use a 61 and up. Someguys would love to trade yo since the 60 and earlier fit all the early cars.

Thanks for the info guys. I have decided against cutting the clip off the 58 and just to continue the resto on it.
