| can anyone tell me how to tell the difference between a 67 and a 68 tranny. i was told that i bought a 67, however how do i know that it is not a 68? just checking i am having a heck of a time getting the axle seals to not leak and the brake drums to fit right. it appears that the rebuilt tranny has about a quarter of an inch more axle than the original transaxle that i pulled out of my bug. any advice or clue again will hopefully help me figure my problem out. thanks talipp. |

| Sounds like 68 w/ longer axles. |
