| How do you run a vin number test on an old car. My 69 beetle. I have had it for a while and was just curious to see what kind of information I could find on it. Any info would be appritiated! Thanks, Tommy H. (1969 bug) |

Yes 69 - they are right, there should be one more digit in that engine number.
Hoxviii has it right - the thrid number is the year indicator, but there should be 6 more numbers after that for the 69 model year.
