Hello all, I have had shifting problems lately, Ive tried changing the clutch, checking the shift linkage, adjusting the clutch, etc, etc, and nothing seems to work, its becomes VERY hard to shift in almost all gears. From what I can tell the tranny has been changed out by the previous owner, saying he bought a rebuilt one just before I became the owner of the car. Anyways Im tired of all the problems Ive been having and am going to change out the tranny. Now the question is can I just unblot each axle (6 bolts a side) at the tranny, and drop it out without having to mess with unbolting anything else (brakes, drums etc)? Or do I have to drop everything (axels and all) and bolt them on the new one Im buying? Any help on this would be appreciated, Thanks!

| sorry forgot to mention its a 58 bug which means its a swing axle... |
