I have been hearing a low rumble around 35 MPH and above on my 64 bug. I was adjusting my brakes and e brake when I noticed on my rear wheel when I pulled up on the e brake, one of the rear wheels was "locked" - unmoveable, while the other one was "locked" but could be moved back and forth about an inch. Is this a bearing problem?

| when you say back and forth do you mean if you were to puts your hands at 6 and 12 or 3 and 9 it can be pushed towards the car and pulled back out about an inch? If this is the case you need to pull the entire hub apart and most definately replace the bearing along with anything else that might be damaged. At state safety inspections in Missouri if the bearing play is even noticeble, it's an automatic fail. |

| Sorry, what I actually mean is I put my hands at 9 and 3, I then can move the wheel to 7 and 2 or 10 and 4. Hopefully that makes sense. |
