I asked the guy at bughaus. com though and he told me. maybe email them? I was thinking of doing that to my 66 (if noone buys it) since my parkign lights are white. |

Sounds like slm69bug is NOT in the USA.
In 67 the US got sealed beams and moved the parkers into the blinker housing on top of the fender.
Most other countries kept the bulb-and-refelctor type lights when 12v was introduced, and the blinkers still have just the blinker bulb.
The main reflector has the parking light bulb just above the main bulb.
It's a 4watt bulb and there should be wiring for it on the assembly which twists on to the back of the reflector to hold both bulbs in place. The three prong wire holder then plugs into the back of the main bulb for those connections.
With the parkers on, the whole light assembly glows softly - the Europeans call them "city lights" as in well lit cities they use them and not the main beams - saves on glare in busy streets.
In Australia the front parking bulbs must be white, not orange - the only orange lights allowed are the blinkers.

Hey Rob, I think he just has the early fenders and headlight assems.... and( legal or not who's to say!) it has been popular for years over here in the states to turn the parking light inside them into a "blinker" by switching some wiring around and adding the yellow bulb...
Nice bits of info from you though... later K |
