I am re-doing a 1970 bug and have a left rear fender that has already been replaced once.
It has had the lower lip at the very back flattened, and has started to rip from vibration. It could be fixed, but my wife has not bought me a welder yet.
Who makes and/or sells the best replacement fender?
I have heard of improper fit, incorrect contours, ect. and want to get the right one. |

| i have a 70 bug and i have a repo frend on the back passenger side, i mean u can tell by looking at it, but if u really scope it out, it a pile of shit...its lighter, more flexable, a 1/2 of an inch shoter tha the stock...which means its close to the wheel. if i could do it over again, i would find me a good used fender in ok shape and fix it. hope that helped a little |

| Don't know where you live, but if you take it off and ship it to me, I'll fix it for free...just to help you out. I'm a welder by trade. E-mail me if you would rather do that. |

Thanks for the offer!
I am smack dab in the middle of California!
Actually, I am hopeing that if I whine and complain enough my wife will let me get the wire feed I am looking at. I only have a stick welder right now, and anything under 1/8" lights right up! (it is old, and not very adjustable!) |
