| Are 6v 40hp and 12v 1600cc generator stands interchangeable? I like to install a 6v generator stand on a 1600cc engine. |

| no... and yes. you can install a 6V genny stand on your 1600 just fine (i've one on mine) -- however, it will only hold a 6V genny. the 12V genny is bigger (alts are a bit bigger still, i believe), thus the 12V stand is a bit shorter and the cup is wider. you need to match your stand to your genny not to your motor (40HP on). |
