What year front and rear clip can I use on my '57? I found a rusted '61, but haven't been able to check it out yet. I think the rear apron is the same but front is different. Can't remember for sure.
Also, what is the width of a stock balljoint beam? I have one that looks like it has been narrowed, but I'm not sure. Thanks for your help.

| Jay; I don't know alot about bugs but I belive 1960 was the last year for the "H" type rear apron. 57 should have the "H" pattern. If you are trying to put a ball joint beam on the 57 it won't fit on the early pan the spacing of the tor-tubes are not the same. I think the ball joint are about 1/2" futher apart in the vert dims. and won't seat corretly. I can look up the info if you need more data. |
