I live in a climate that rains half the year. Most of it isn't very strong, but fairly misty -- the light rain type. Too little water to leave the wipers on, but too much to avoid having to turn the wipers on and off all the time. Anyone know of such a switch for intermittent operation for a '69 type I?

There is no intermittent switch or circuit for old bugs, but you might be able to find a kit at Tandy/Radio Shack (or other electronics stores) which provides for variable wiper speeds/intermittent operation. Connect that to the slow speed circuit and away you go.
