The right rear tire on my 66 std is flat and I need to
remove it but.. one of the lugs is stripped and I cant get it off.
The car is in the middle of resoration and I need to put the
spare on it so I can roll it out of my garage and sand blast it.
Would a pair of vice grips and a pipe do the trick??
thanks for the help.

One I have tried was to use a pipe wrench and it worked well, just make sure to use it the right way or it will never work. the vice grips may work but you would have to tighen that thing down pretty good so it will hold. Also, not sure on this one, but Liquid Wrench used to penetrate into the threads may help make the task a little simpler.

if you really need to sandblast her, jack her up on the low side and roll her out that way. Dad and I move his old Triumph TR6 that way...back wheels are ceased up(its his retirement project...yea we'll see)
Have fun! |

| spray the nut with liquid wrench then hammer the crap out of it dead on the head with a heavy hammer or sledge, that will loosen up the bolt. maybe try hamering on a 18mm socket on to it too. |

| Do you have a welder. If so weld something across the lug that you can get a hold of. |
