| After sitting in the cold garage all weekend, she took a little bit to start up Monday morning. The engine noise was horrible, loud clanking sound, didn't want to idle well either. I went ahead and tried to go while it was running and just got off the driveway and it wouldn't go when I pushed the accelerator....was still running though. It wants to die when I give it gas, won't rev at all, or chokes when I try. Tried adjusting the choke, but it didn't work. Now it won't crank over at all. Any ideas of what I need to be looking at? I'm new to the bug world, and don't know much about mechanics either. |

Sounds like you ate some rod bearnings or main bearings. Ceazed sounds more like it.
Check your front pully, push and it back and forth is your end play shows alot of slack then your bearings are fucked. |

Where/What is the front pully? Is that the same as the crank shaft pully?
When I said it wouldn't crank over at all, the belt turns, it just won't start up. Could we have flooded it trying so much? |

does it make any sounds when you crank it over you said a clanking sound? yes the pully on the crankshaft.
You could have but the sounds it's making are not of a very good running engine. |
