I'm back from Afghan and starting this project for the Wifey. Lots of pics

We have received all brakes (Disc kits), I have also finished the floor pans and will get Pics up of that when I return home for X-mas from Fort Benning. Still lots of work to do. Wish me luck, I'll need it  :?

Excellent weight loss program!!
Never knew restoring Ghia's was so good for the figure!!

BTW the Ghia is looking GOOD!! Looks like some side panel dents to deal with yet.

This looks just amazing - I can't wait to see the assembly! Keep up the great work!

c21darrel Mon Oct 10, 2011 12:03 pm

Do you have an order to follow or plan of action for re-assembly?

Greezy Joe Wed Oct 12, 2011 5:08 am

When I run outta parts it's done  Sorry couldn't resist. Starting with the wiring harness, then work in the lights and body rubber for the lights, dash, then door glass and rubber. Chassis is done with brakes, steering and running gear. Top will be last. Motor is being rebuilt into a 1835 and is on the stand next to the 2276 for my coupe.

Greezy Joe Thu May 10, 2012 6:17 pm

Got some stuff goin on the Ghia Vert Dash and Wiring going on now.

And the 1835 going together...Note the rods, these are stock, lightened, shot peened and balanced, they have been to 6000 in another motor with 65,000 miles and rechecked, still in balance and to specs. The Crank and 11# flywheel and all have been rechecked for balance and where still dead on.

Got lots of parts in from KGPR and back to work doing the Dash and wiring Harness. Getting the harness hooked up and then going about routing stuff so it looks good. The dash is almost done, gotta adjust the Glove box hinges and get a tach to replace the hole where the clock went.
Doors work great and glass is in as are the door latches and locks. Lots more work to do on the Wife's car and still gotta finish the motor.
