I've bought about every book on the market, and searched the web over. Nobody seems to offer any advice on how to go about replacing cross members. I have several "I" shaped cross members I'm replacing, as well as the front and rear center chassis sections, and the outriggers. I also have one bad section of the main frame rail on the drivers side that has a patch job, but needs attention. If any one has blazed this trail themselves and can offer the wisdom of experience, or can recomend some good resources, tech articles,ect.. I could really use some input in forming a plan of attack.
thanks

The crossmembers describe the two sections (front and rear) that bridge the two frame rails together.
The heater tube mounts through these two crossmembers.
Are you referring to the I-beams that support the cargo floor?
With the cargo floor removed this task should be fairly straight forward. |
