I have a 61 ragtop beetle. This is my first pre-67 beetle. There is this wierd bar that comes out of the center channel right next to the shifter. It looks like it should turn, but it doesn't have a knob on top of it (MAYBE IT NEEDS ONE???) Could you tell me what this does?

| That controls the heat inside your bug. It should have a knob on it. It turns to open and close off the heat to the inside of your bug. |
