| I was removing carpet from my 1964 type 1 and found wires near the heater vents on both the passenger & drivers side. They are about 6 inches long and have a zig zag shape. Can anyone tell me what their function is? |

| Someone added speaker wires then took everything out except under the carpet to keep from ruining it? |

| This is not speaker wire. It's more rigid and made of steel. |

| The wires clip into the bottom of the heater outlets and hold the sliding door to the outlet. It keeps the door in place and prevents it from rattking about. If you look closely, you will see little holes at the bottom where these wires fit in. |
