Right now I have a 1641cc and a stock tranny with a stretched out 4th gear. I have the cash but I would like to know if anyone has one I would like to know the TOP SPEED, and gas mileage and etc.

I have a 1915 in my bug now, it still has the stock tranny in it. At 5500 rpm in 4th it does about 115. It gets about 20 mpg and I have a small cam with cb44's with a set of dell 40's. Personally I would guess a decent 2110 with some head work would put you around 15 mpg. As for top speed I couldn't even begin to guess due to gear ratios, engine rpm, tire size. Put it this way - your bug will probably go faster than you will want to. The fastest I have ever gone in a bug is like 140 and it's damn scary. You can feel the front start to lift up - at least thats what it feels like. one thing, make sure you upgrade the brakes.

Hey, I have hung out an open T-top Z28 Camaro at 140 mph before, and even I wouldnt want to go that fast in a bug. I mean damn, 0-90 mph is enough for me, but to do 140 in a bug is RETARDED.

take a look at my bug!!! any ideas are great! I want to keep the cali cruiser look. I want to get a 2110cc and a freeway flyer. And thinking about the BRM's. instead of the chrome ones. And I want a porche fan shroud, and 44 or 48 webers. Also I want five wide disc brakes all the way around. I just want to find a good price and find one who has it already to see what I am in store for.

you definitely need to get the 44s if you're going to drive it daily. the 48s get the WORST MPG ever, and if you buy them used they're gonna be OLD. You'll have to adjust them more frequently as well.

I know by doing this I will lose my awesome gas mileage I get 50 mpg and I have a 16 gallon tank. But I want to be able to fly down the highway and around town. And 2110cc and freewya flyer, is the only answer I can come up with. I don't want to lighten it, I get blown all over the road as it is.
