Right, so I just fitted complete new drums on the rear, we then bled the brakes at the rear, and a shitload of black nasty stuff came out and the pedal felt like sandpaper was being pushed out,it was bad. So i assumed my rear brakes were real blocked up, which is why I really needed to bleed the front to check they aren't like that too, being a begginner to this, me and my pal checked out my discs, only we can't find the bleed nipple! The car is a 67' and had aftermarket discs on it when I bought it, and looking through the bug manuals the calipers have small threaded bleed nipples, where mine have small pipes about half an inch long without any kind of thread or anything to release the nipple! HELP ME!!!! i'm afraid that is the best i can describe it!

your bleaders have probably been broken off at one time or another. brake hoses run about 12 bucks a piece recomend replacing these as the black crab is some of the rubber from the hoses. its a good rule of thumb to blead brakes at least every two years. brake lines usually rust out from the inside out most of the aftermarket kits still use the same caliper as the ghia etc one or two pin? you can sometimes bleed the brake by loosening the hose and it acting like a bleeder but is not the right way to do it. the line at the wheel cylinder in back.

some calipers don't use a nipple. There may be a recessed screw, hex key screw or? that you need to find and remove. Than you need to insert a small diameter hose into the caliper openingI would look around the top at the rear of each caliper.

Replace the hoses and bleed the whole system, you might as well do it all at once. Don't get the brake fluid on your skin, or your car either.
