i was wondering. im maybe going to buy a 66 vw and it has a 1200cc engine. i dont really want a putter, and i have heard that a 1200cc is worth some bucks. is that true????

40hp's (1200cc) are not really worth all that much. parts are starting to get scarce for rebuilding them but there is not a big market of people looking for them.
also a 66 US bug should have a 1300cc in it and not a 40hp. |

Not necessarily - 1200 bugs were still popular in Europe as a base model to the 1300/1500/1600s - the very last German bugs in 86 were 1200s.
