| Gene Berg Enterprises wasn't opened till 1969. The tachs they sell are Autometer, at least that's what they had when I bought mine from them. |

| Or he is interested in the tach used in Gary's blue 67, "the bergler" (not sure of Gary's correct spelling regarding his car). Did the blue street car utilize a different tach then the black race car? |

This might be it, or very close. Polished bezel and black body with a polished pedestal mount. From my crusty old memory that's what it looked like.

| That's not the one I recall seeing in their black race car, or Gary's street car. Berg was always very particular about gauges. I know the only tachs they've ever offered for sale are Autometer, at least as far back as I remember....like early 70's. |

He doesn't say much but he's been around a long time; there's a reason he calls himself "Originalpanzer". |

Ahh, I meant no offence, its just sometimes people come out of nowhere (like a panzer)its a shame they don't really join in the banter of the Samba and pass on the wealth of knowledge that they hold in their heads |

I like my privacy and my friends....I post very rarely if at all.
I would suggest that if you want pics, the best pics are those in the VW Trends article on the Berglar. Articles in Trends are the best as well. :)
