Removed front door panels today and found this on the passenger door. Does anyone know what this is?

What is wood trim in load area?

clnvwe2 Wed Jan 26, 2011 8:49 am

Sweet! I need to get the BC for the 56. How long did you wait before it arrived?

Blauhaus Wed Jan 26, 2011 8:53 am

Chad, mine took a little longer to arrive than it takes for a two-meat combo with mashed potatoes and black-eyed peas to show up after ordering at Mojo's...

I have no idea, I hope someone will be able to tell me.
my cargo doors have holes as if door panels should go there. I was hoping that the BC would shed some light on door panels..

chad,
it took about 3 weeks to get the certificate.

So it looks like you have a model year 1956, being built in Sept or Oct 1955. Very nice find, take it slow and enjoy the build.

thats funny, but on a serious note I could use some Mojo's Q right now.....Great food....any chance of them coming to the upstate?

interesting it says wood and not hardboard

cargo doors always have the holes. the only areas i have seen w/o holes would be the longwall and short wall.

Not sure Paul. Chad has exclusive rights on new franchise openings - currently he's restricting new units to Duval County only.

Love your Kombi Paul – hope someone chimes in about the wood M-Code

M13 doesn't mean it has paneling in the back, just seats.

Not sure why they always include that.

I don't think M99 mean snow tires specifically, just mud and snow tires or stronger tires? My Kombi delivered to LA had that too and you don't need snow tires there. :)

hugheseum Wed Jan 26, 2011 9:38 am

my early 56 kombi had some similiar writing in the same spot, same door........im guessing its the painters code/id

Hi Paul

Nice bus, I can see now why you were interested in my 55 build. Yours looks to have escaped the majority of the hacks that my bus has been blessed with. What are your plans with it? any time frame?

Lets work through it. I can look to your thread for inspiration and referance and vice versa.

Congratulations.

As an aside, my vin plate (above chassis No.) is absent, could you take a picture of yours so that I know what i am looking for, I have been told there are several differnt layouts over a short time period, and your bus is only a few monthes newer than mine.

Cheers chap.
